I didn't want to be mean to Warrick, but let's face it, this is how the majority of people would react to the idea of a ketchup cupcake.

Comments:

Well, savory sweet food has worked before. Ever heard of the Chocolate Potato Cake? It’s an old recipe that went viral on TikTok in 2021, and it’s gimmick is that it uses potato to improve the flavor and the texture. Plus, Ketchup has a lot of sugar in it anyways.

Yeah, but keep in mind, many of these flavours got lost to history are World War III and IV. After that, the world got rebuilt and just now, flavours are being rediscovered.

That's an idea. I have heard of ube cake and I always wanted to try it.

Iron Chef has taught me to never dismiss an usual-sounding dish outright ^_~

Agreed. I once saw a millefeuille made with onions.

Well, I guess if you made a non-sugary cupcake with parmesan and some herbs then put ketchup on it, I'd try it!

This reminds me of the tomato soup cake someone made on Tiktok... hopefully they figure it out!!

TikTok is at best irritating. Especially the way "influencers" take stuff like this that is decades old and pretend they invented it. Even more especially th ones who come up with BS that can't possibly work but push it for the clicks. I'm looking at you, Vietnamese Content Farms.

I love the reactions in panel 2. Such serious revulsion! :D

Apparently they've had ketchup chips already...

As for dessert potatoes...it looks pretty good ;)
