Not to mention, Myrna and everyone else was onto the fact that you hated your job for a while.

Also, I never got or liked how in a lot of these anime settings, a family business is held to such a high standard to the point of toxicity. Respecting family members including the black sheep is a huge part of loving and in fact, keeping the family together. Alienation is tragic.

I never hid that this comic was going to be a parody of many anime tropes. That includes the unsupportive parent or the parent who is so proud of tradition, they forget to respect their child's individuality.

Anything that parodies anime tropes, or anime, or tropes, or parody in general has my interest ;)
Sometimes though you have to forget what you did before and do the job you're being paid to do now.
It isn't easy, but with a little creative thinking you can make the result better than the sum of the two.
The real trick is getting others to think about something other than 'the way we've always done it' too...
Experience can't be taught in a school and all experience is good for something.

Everything is case by case and I say this from my own experience, the heart wants what it wants. I left a job to do this full time and I don't regret. And my family is better for it.
