(some how, after your "ginger-staches" reply, I tried to fix a grammar error in my original post and it got deleted?)

And skip the 'no nut november' foolishness altogether.
That substantially increases a man's chance for prostate cancer.
Another fad that needs to disappear completely.

If you want a cutesy slogan call it 'get fingered for xmas'...
7th Nov 2021, 9:47 PM
I never meant to and never ever would make cancer cutesy. I am not that kind of person. The only thing I tried to make cute were the characters, but the message is important and meant to give hope that as long as more people are aware and give support, the more men out there can be saved. I hope that clears the air.
And please, I understand you are upset, but I am strict with keeping profanity out of the comments here.

Mine was found early because I insisted on a biopsy after the routine PSA went up a tiny bit.
First one was twelve 20mm long 'cores', there was .3mm on one.
The next one three months later, that I fought tooth and nail to get, was over 80mm between all the 'cores'.
Surgery, amazingly in this socialist, rationed 'health care' system, was a couple of months later (strings were pulled) and the pathology report said it was almost completely engulfed with grade 5-7 cancer.
I had to undergo eight weeks of radiation treatments when it came back a year later but it's been clear ever since, although I can't even get the regular blood test done with this overblown 'covid' hysteria so who knows ?
So yes, I sort of take it personally, sorry ;)
Cute is good, I don't really mind cute if it helps, but the 'movember' one has been co-opted by the 'woke' crowd because apparently men aren't the only ones who can get prostate cancer and that bothers me, that and I was very seriously asked to shave the one I've had for 50 years off to grow a new one for the month, AFTER I'd had the surgery o.O

The fact of the matter is that the connection between gender and sex are not as well understood as people assume it is. It wasn't until my 40s that I finally was able to find medical professionals who we're willing to look past a label that I had no say about, that was sabotaging my medical treatment and nearly killed me. And even getting access to those medical professionals was incredibly difficult, because my previous gynecologist thought I met certain parameters of superficial femaleness. I was given hormones in my twenties to suppress my body from doing what it was going to do naturally, and someone filled out a form about my sex when I was an infant without taking into consideration what what eventually happened to me during puberty.
This has absolutely nothing to do with wokeness. I say this as someone who has pretty allergic to woke stuff. I don't mean to intrude in this conversation, but I need to bring this up, because he's kind of attitudes literally prevented me from getting decent medical care for the majority of my life. Just because I look a certain way externally, it doesn't mean that it reflects the full picture of what's actually going on in my body and mind.

And I'm glad this is coming from the mouth of someone who knows and has experienced the truth. Not a person blindly holding a flag. And I don't think Armourer meant any harm to you or intersex people. I think what he meant is that some people use one cause to further their own instead of concentrating on who needs help at the moment which is wrong no matter the angle. For instance, if someone used Pride Month as a means of furthering their agenda or as a selling point for something, that's not cool.
I am all for medical support and medical access for intersex people. I'm for it for everyone because everyone's health matters equally. It frustrates me that we are 2021 and people are denied medical attention just because of the way they're born.

To be honest... I actually want to thank you for your honesty. My end goal with all my art is about love and love means respect and sensitivity. If you don't feel that in my art, I want to know.

It's not even what you wrote, it's what the month has been turned into in the name of 'wokeness' that irritates me, sorry if it came across as something personal against your offerings to us.
I'm old, I get cranky, I'll go have some pudding and a nap now ;)
8th Nov 2021, 11:10 AM
And for what it is worth, it's the "woke" crowd that gives progressives like me a bad name. I'm ashamed that they do that and now, everything makes sense. Next time, I do intend to go more serious though keep the positive.
8th Nov 2021, 12:52 PM
I really wasn't saying anything against you personally or your art, although I do see that it might easily have come across that way.
This is why I don't write for a living ;)
It's the need to put the slogan before what it's supposed to mean then wander off on the 1st of December that irks me.
But that's the way of the world with it's ten second attention span and lately everyone seems to be demanding their 'Day' or month, or every single day for their 'cause' and who foam at the mouth if you don't necessarily agree with it or the way they go about forcing others to comply 'or else'.
Thinking about medical issues like Breast or Prostate Cancer is fine and should be commended, co-opting it and claiming that "men aren't the only ones who get prostate cancer" is insulting and a little over 5% of breast cancer cases are in biological men (and always have been) but you never see men in those ads and I don't think it's necessary because that research helps everyone.
Up here we have to fight to get our 'leaders' to do anything for military or veterans 364 days of the year but on the 11th they'll be out making meaningless speeches they don't believe in the slightest, pushing vets out of the front row so they can have their chairs, then go back on the 12th and try to take even more away from those who did what they wouldn't.
That's why I don't go to Remembrnce Day parades anymore and why I just shook my head and walked away when the person who expected me to shave for 'movember' got very upset when I said no, I'll just rub my scars instead. It's all about the soundbites and the feelgoods and that individual wanted the recognition for being the 'champion' for the event and getting the most people to 'particpate'. I asked her if she was going to shave and she got all huffy ;)
Again, nothing against you at all or your art, I like it.
I just threw my two cents in about the way the concept has been twisted and when I did, I missed, sorry. You did good !!
