Pipsqueaks make the same sounds that a budgie does especially when angry. This is what an angry budgie sounds like. Pipsqueaks can be taught to do elaborate tricks and tasks hence Whip being a dessert decorator, but they cannot talk.

W-was Warwick shooting to kill? Was he gonna just commit murder against a dude for leaving the room?

24th Sep 2021, 7:02 AM

Warrick was created during a terrible war so it was not uncommon to have to do that for your own safety.

24th Sep 2021, 7:29 AM

Ooooh, he just told the grandma. Now Warrick is really in trouble.

A little from column A, a little from column B

Sounds 'familiar' pun intended ;)
Many years ago, my grandfather had two budgies that he let fly free around the house with perches hanging from the very high ceilings in the old house.
and a couple of very frustrated cats....

Budgies are my favourite. They are so cute, colourful and full of personality.

When in doubt, go for the nuclear option and call Grandma!

25th Sep 2021, 2:11 PM

Especially if it involves homemade grape jelly!

25th Sep 2021, 3:20 PM

The grapes from the vine that's completely overrun our backyard, totally concealing a trellis, a shed, two wheelbarrows and a huge maple tree, make very fine jelly, the trick is getting to them before the birds do, they can strip it bare in a few hours.

27th Sep 2021, 12:49 PM

Well, at least you can say that they're good grapes if the birds are eating them that fast. I love grape vines. They looks at smell beautiful. They're like the gems of the fruit world.

Why that purple guy saying "cheep cheep" ? :)

5th Oct 2021, 12:43 PM

She's a she and she's not really purple. Poor Whip is covered in grape jelly and she's chirping like that because she's mad. If you look on YouTube and hear how a budgie sounds when angry, they do that "cheep cheep". I also speak from experience.

You see Whip is a pipsqueak which is a budgie-mouse gryphon as explained in a previous page, so she makes the same sounds as a budgie does namely when excited or angry.

5th Oct 2021, 1:15 PM

It's been SO many years since I last heard (or saw) an excited budgie! Suddenly missing them now. If I thought I could look after budgies, I'd go straight to the pet shop right now! XD

28th Oct 2021, 5:17 AM

I miss my budgie too. Thanks for all of your comments. They made my day.

28th Oct 2021, 10:32 AM

Aw, you're welcome! Thanks for making the comic. :)

28th Oct 2021, 10:40 AM

in our house, we say that our budgie's angry noises sound like "JA-JA-JA-JA!"

13th Dec 2021, 10:58 PM

That is how my brother described it.
