What can I say? Even BonBon and Adam Otis adore the moon. Who doesn't?

Comments:

Damn. Warrick’s that damaged.

25th Oct 2022, 6:21 AM

Yes and if you could believe it, I've met people like Warrick.

25th Oct 2022, 8:23 AM

Trying to make a technically perfect confection when it's one that begs for sensory poetry and emotion, is not necessarily going to be a factor in Warrick's favor.

25th Oct 2022, 7:29 AM

That is the point hence why Warrick's savoury cupcakes turn out great.

25th Oct 2022, 8:23 AM

Exactlly and while another lovely person pointed out that wanting to win is not a bad thing and today's "participation trophy" culture is not good, Warrick is taking his will to win to a toxic level.

26th Oct 2022, 10:42 AM

He's completely correct, it's a competition and members of his own team isn't taking it seriously or actively sabotaging the effort.
That's why it's a competion, you don't enter to deliberately lose.
Yes your skills and therefore chances might be lower than others, but if you don't want to try your hardest to win then you're taking up a spot someone else could have used.
Pay to take a class from the winner instead.
I'm getting a trifle annoyed with the 'everybody's a winner' crown that riots in the streets if someone dares to disagree with them or they don't get their way or their favoured political party loses.

25th Oct 2022, 9:35 AM

I see where you are coming from, but Warrick is also taking it too far in his own way too. He's basing his entire self worth on this.

25th Oct 2022, 12:02 PM

cool

25th Oct 2022, 9:57 AM

gives a whole new meaning to poor sport

25th Oct 2022, 9:59 AM

When you consider Warrick's previous life was "succeed at goal/military objective or get killed", his mindset is forgivable.

His attitude still needs a little work. But then again, we're all a work in progress.

25th Oct 2022, 10:05 AM

I was also thinking the same thing. Not only that, winning the competition also means everything to Warrick (because right now it's his sole means to get back to being a war machine), which is why is mind is stuck so hard in must-win-everything mode; for everyone else, it's the experience that's valuable, because they got a chance to show the world their baking skills and get constructive criticism from a master even if they lose.

25th Oct 2022, 5:13 PM

Exactly and that is usually the point of baking tournaments: to be seen. However, Warrick wants to win as he sees it as a chance to rebecome a war machine and even then, there is a dark reason.

25th Oct 2022, 5:41 PM

I hope they make a rabbit theme food

25th Oct 2022, 8:22 PM

They're making the moon mochis. I think there was a misunderstanding so let me clear the air: The Gingerbread House (Warrick's team) won and their prize was knowing what this week's prize would be in advance and it is moon mochis.

25th Oct 2022, 8:30 PM

So, moon bunny's then

25th Oct 2022, 8:58 PM

A bunny and a cat.

25th Oct 2022, 9:05 PM

So cool

25th Oct 2022, 9:28 PM

C'è 'na luna mezz'u mare

?????

26th Oct 2022, 9:33 PM

There's a moon in the middle of the sea
My mother will marry me off
My daughter, what will I give you?
My mother, do you think
If I take the fish from you
It goes, it comes
He seems that he'll keep the fish
If the imagination catches it.
I love you, my daughter.
There's fried fish and cod
Whoa buddy
There's no squid to buy
There’s a moon in the middle of the sea
My mother will marry me off
My daughter, what will I give you?
My mother, do you think
If I take it with purity
It goes, it comes
Always a shotgun in hand
If the imagination catches him.
I'm sorry, my daughter
There's fried fish and cod.
Whoa buddy
It's a bargain to buy

(Hopefully this is close)

26th Oct 2022, 11:19 PM

Ohhhhhh Lovely poem.

26th Oct 2022, 11:25 PM

It's a song, on the order of a tarantella, Napolitana according to the supporting texts. My favorite cover is by Louis Prima: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnaGKtBtGe4>.
