Smoked salmon by any name is fine by me, with or without schmier, as is salmon sashimi.
Hmmmm - mix a wee dab of wasabi (or even chrain) in the schmier for some zing.

Warrick was thinking of both. In baking competitions, looks aren't enough. You have to stop and think if the taste matches the theme.
